- Brings together 20 partners from 13 countries, including 9 of the EU member states.
- Has a 7,3 M € grant from the European Union (EU) Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) over the next 5 years (2004-2009).
- Officially started in October 2004 (Kick-off and Launching - February 2004).
- One of two NoE coordinated by Portugal in the first call of FP6, was evaluated with 23.3 points in 25, being the highest scored of all the 420 NoE’s and IP’s that applied to this call for projects in the NMP area (priority 3)
- Is the only NoE on Tissue Engineering of Connective Tissues.
- Ranked first of all projects with 23.3/25 points in the evaluation process (First call NMP).
